七十二候(しちじゅうにこう)は菜虫化蝶(なむしちょうとなる) 青虫(菜虫)が成長して、美しい蝶々となるころ
24 Solar Terms is Keichitsu. When spring comes, insects wake up and start moving.
72 pentads is Namushicyoutonaru. When the green caterpillar grows up and becomes a beautiful butterfly.
紋白蝶(もんしろちょう)や紋黄蝶(もんきちょう)が舞うようになるころ。色とりどりの花々が咲き、春爛漫(はるらんまん)という雰囲気に包まれますね。
愛らしく、優雅に舞う姿は、時に気持ち悪がられ、時に農作物を育てる方々から駆除の対象の時期を経たからこそ見られる、変容の象徴。
華やかにみえる人も、人生のスポットライトを浴びている憧れの人も…きっと見えないところで「変容」をしてきたのでしょうね。
This is the time when Monshiro-cho and Monki-cho butterflies begin to flutter. Colorful flowers are blooming and the atmosphere is full of spring.
Their adorable and graceful dancing is a symbol of transformation that can only be seen after a period when they were sometimes hated and sometimes targeted for extermination by people who grow crops.
Whether it’s the people who look gorgeous or the people you admire who are in the spotlight of their lives…I’m sure they’ve undergone a transformation in ways you can’t see.
