七十二候(しちじゅうにこう)は雪下出麦(ゆきわたりてむぎのびる)
24 Solar Terms is Touji. Winter Solstice.
72 pentads is Yukiwatarite-muginobiru. Under a blanket of snow, wheat is sprouting and growing.
冬至(とうじ)も末候。寒の入りを前に、寒さも本格化してくる頃です。
一面の雪景色に耳まで冷気に触れながら、雪を踏みしめて進む道。足下では、真っ白な帽子を被った新芽たちが、小さな手足を空へと伸ばそうとしているかのようです。
（残念ながら、麦が伸びていく画像は見つけられませんでした）
かすかに感じられる春の息吹きに、身体は寒さに震えても、心に希望の火が灯る頃ともいえそうです。
The winter solstice is at its ending time. It’s about time for the cold weather to get really intense.
The road is covered in snow, the cold air reaching your ears as you step on the snow. At our feet, new shoots wearing pure white hats seem to be trying to stretch their tiny limbs towards the sky.
(Unfortunately, I couldn’t find an image of the wheat growing.)
You can feel the faint breath of spring, and even though your body is shivering from the cold, it seems like it’s time for a fire of hope to light in your heart.
